The Grand Avenue Library is open to USC students, faculty, staff, and alumni only by appointment. If you do not fall into one of these categories, the only way you can obtain an item from this Library is to place a paging request as a non-USC user.

To place the request:

  1. Go to the circulation desk of Leavey library. Ask to speak with a full-time staff member.
  2. Give the title of the books or other items you need. The full-time staff member will submit a paging request on your behalf. Note: a maximum of six items can be paged at any one time.
  3. Once a paged item is received at the Leavey Library, we will send an email notification to you.
  4. Paged items from the Grand Avenue Library must be viewed in the Leavey Library; copy machines and microfilm readers are available for use.

Turnaround time for a paged item from the Grand Avenue Library is usually one business day, except for University holidays when the facility is closed.

NOTE: Non-USC people needing to look at government documents housed in the Grand Avenue Library are permitted to view such materials at the facility.

For more information, please contact the staff of the Grand Avenue Library at (213) 821-2045 or via email at grandlib@usc.edu.
