Fine disputes are handled by the library unit who owns the overdue item(s), be they books, DVDs, or reserve items. Please contact the respective library's circulation department and ask for a library supervisor to review your case.
NOTE: USC Libraries have a strict no-waive policy regarding recalled materials. Because each hold represents legitimate need for the material by another user, and because we do not arbitrate who has the greater need, patrons must return their recalled items on time to avoid fines.
The only exception is if an error occurred and the first recall notice was never sent. USC Libraries IT can run reports to see if the notice was generated and sent; if it was, you will remain liable for the fines.
