Nielsen Ratings refers to a sampling-based rating system to determine television viewing habits and consumer spending created by the Nielsen Company.
USC does not have access to Nielsen ratings. However, you can search in the database Communication Mass Media Complete to locate a trade publication source for the ratings.
From within Communication Mass Media Complete, select Advanced Search and type the following:
- First search box = Nielsen
- Second search = ratings
- Third search box change Select a Field to SO Publication Name, then type in "Broadcasting & Cable"
Please note, many newspapers also have articles written about Nielsen Reports.
