If you click on a link to access an ebook, database, journal article or other electronic resources and get an error message that says “Your connection is not private,” try one of the following:

  1. Use Safari or Firefox browsers. Changing to these browsers may be the easiest solution
  2. Clear the history/cookies/cache in your browser
  3. Open an incognito window in your browser

If none of these suggestions work, please let us know through the libraries' Ask-Us service. If possible, please also let us know where on the USC Libraries resources you get this message.

This security warning is occurring with newer security updates in Chrome. We are working with our electronic resource providers to support HTTPS and when possible updating links on our websites.
