The USC Libraries extend students' full borrowing privileges and remote access to electronic resources for a semester (one academic term) past graduation.
After that, USC alumni may apply for book borrowing privileges in person at any library circulation desk by presenting their USC Alumni Card and photo ID.
Past the first term after graduation, alumni are not eligible for remote access to the USC Libraries databases and e-resources, or for USC interlibrary loan services. Alumni who are residents of California can apply for a Los Angeles Public Library card and get access to LAPL's e-resources. Alumni living elsewhere may want to check with their local public libraries. Our library tips page also provides information on freely accessible resources with scholarly content.
